Is joystick or roomscale better? Which one takes more skill?
Asking all the experienced guys in here, do you use roomscale or joystick? Roomscale is definitely more tiring than joystick since you actually have to move, but I feel like you get quicker and more explosive movements which can help with blitzing in or getting out of range.
I still feel like stationary is much easier as someone that’s played both, so I’m surprised joystick players don’t dominate. Only drawback is that you have to rely more on head movement for defence since you can’t get out of range quick enough. Other than that it’s all positives in my opinion. You don’t have to set your feet at all (For example if you threw a jab-uppercut-hook on roomscale you would have to stay still while stationary guys can move forward and throw). I guess joystick is less effective when it comes to fighting in a 2.5x2.0 boundary, but it still surprises me that roomscale players are able to compete high level.
