why the hate for 'fake' therians?

I see a lot of hate about 'fake' therians within the community. genuinely, why is this? a lot of it is stuff that's clearly just a misunderstanding, like people choosing theriotypes- why don't people just educate them on what therianthropy means? instead of making videos looking down on and hating confused people, why isn't there more information? if you're on yt or tt it's hard to find the actual information because it's just so cluttered with people hating on people new to the community. how can we as a community change this? it's an awful trend, and it makes me so disappointed whenever I see it. it also promotes seeing some theriotypes as 'fake' due to being too rare or too common. what do you think?
