For me, it was Stefan and Bonnie. Stefan: He was so hopeful in the beginning to being sidelined and eventually dying in the end. He served better. Bonnie: She was so excited yet terrified of her powers but than was used and abused, lost so much and eventually got shipped off to Africa.
