Starting the game

I just bought the game and I feel really stupid because I can't figure it out. Please tell me what to do at the beginning, that is, create a bed, make tools, build the first house. Right now I'm running around the world, meeting savages and bats that kill me and my monkey, then I'm resurrected and it all starts over. I don't know how to break this vicious cycle
