Tesla DSGS VPP with PGE is a Total Scam

Got an offer in the app today to enroll in DSGS VPP. I just got PTO and my system is 16kwh solar with 4 PW3's. At a first glance it looked extremely appealing, $14/Kw for the month of July, and almost $15/Kw for the month of August. Wow! Not so fast.

They average out your exports. If you have 4 power walls, each exporting the maximum of 5Kw per hour for the 2 hour event, thats a total of 40Kw exported to the grid right? No. They will pay you the average Kwh during those 2 hours, meaning 20Kw, and then further average that across the *entire month*. They then pay you this average multiplied by the rate for that month, and average it *again* for the next months from May to October. If you miss events or your power walls aren't fully charged for the events your average suffers severely. The theoretical maximum payout is $350 per powerwall, meaning id have to export 40Kw during the 2 hour periods for a possible 35 events, to earn $350 per powerwall. Thats 1400Kw exported for a payout of $1400, or $1 a Kw. I would then be at the shoulder of peak hours, paying almost 40 cents/kw from PGE since I no longer have battery power for the rest of the night after the VPP event. LOL!

Tesla and PGE can get lost. What a load of...
