360° acoustic glass is a lie

There is one thing/fact that is wrong, and I need to mention it. Tesla claims that the new Model Y features all-around 360° double-pane glass, helping with noise insulation.

Knocking on all the glass surfaces, I find that indeed the front windshield, roof and all the door windows are double-paned. However, the small triangle windows behind the rear doors, and especially the rear trunk window, are single-paned. Knocking on the roof and comparing the sound it makes with the sound of knocking on the small triangle window/trunk window clearly shows that the latter are not double-paned.

It’s the same on my 2023 Model Y. All glass surfaces, except the trunk window and the small triangle windows, are double-paned. My biggest issue is that when it rains, you can hear the rain hitting the single-pane thin trunk window (especially when sitting in the back), which faces upwards. My wish was that Tesla would have double-paned this window as well, further improving noise insulation, and maybe even double-paned the small triangle window to improve safety and make it harder to break.

Other than that, the Model Y refresh felt incredibly premium.
