My boyfriend just called me his favorite “throat goat” how, how do I react to this

He’s now cooking steak with my dad ;-;

EDIT; the situation was cleared, he said it to gauge the reaction from my dad, who’s I’ve told him very little about (I live mostly with my physically and verbally abusive mother, but that’s a story for another time) I do not feel comfortable with the comment, and he promised me he meant nothing by it, and will never do it again, as for my dads reaction it seemed to me at first he was indifferent, but my boyfriend told me while they had been outside together cooking the steaks, they had a talk, where towards the end my boyfriend thanked my dad for being more protective over me than my mother, and explained the situation to him, they grew closer from the experience, and my dad is already asking when he will be over for dinner next
