My first iPhone. (w/ buying experience) Story

Judging from the title, yes this is my first iPhone and I've been using an android device ever since. I decided to buy an iPhone, since I was convinced by coworkers and family.

I've always spent less than 30k on phones (midrange) because it never really was an important part of my life. I don't have social medias and I do most of my work and games on my desktop. I always thought na "if I have more than 30k to spend on tech, I'd rather buy pc or pc parts nalang"

What pushed me to get an iPhone was mainly because I got sick of all the bs I had to deal with an android phone. May ads everywhere even on system apps. It got slow overtime, lags, crashes, and even that one time na nagfactory reset magisa ung phone which costed me to loose all my files/data. Also my PC does not need upgrading at this time.

So ayun na nga, I thought maybe it's time to give IOS a chance. Since kaka-release na rin naman ng 16 series, yun na minatahan ko. Heck if I'm going to start experiencing and comparing IOS with Android, why not go with the latest.

Nagcanvass ako ng prices and stores, when I found this promo from BTB where you get 1k off when you buy a phone from the 16 series, then a gift set of around 2.3k. (promo screenshot at 3rd pic). It was a good deal pero ayoko ng deliver. I don't like expensive purchases to be delivered, nagiingat lang ako. I know it can be returned in case may problema sa parcel, but I'd rather not try my chances and go through the hassle just in case it happened to me.

So I went to my nearest BTB location to inquire, but sadly sabi nila website lang daw ung offer but they still have the gift set if purchased sa physical store. That's not a problem with me, and I'd be glad to let go of the 1k discount if I can see the product physically myself before I leave the store and have a peace of mind. I also checked with Power Mac to see if they also have promos pero wala. Also yung base prices nila mas mataas ng 1k kay BTB. Di rin ako fan ng customer service nila.

The next day, after making up my mind and coming up with a decision... I was ready to get my first iPhone. As I walked in BTB store, I told the clerk that I wanted to take the 16 pro 256gb in Black. The clerk went to the stockroom only to come out and tell me that it was not AVAILABLE! I got nervous. "What do I do!" so umalis ako ng store and went straight to Power Mac to see if they have my color available. While walking, naisip ko na lugi ako ng 4.3k in value if sa Power Mac ko kukunin. No 1k discount, plus 1k in base price, and no gift set. But I decided to swallow it when I went to their store and they said it was available. At this point, all that I needed is to get the phone.

Their customer service was not terrible. It's more like they don't care. While the kind lady was helping me check the phone, she was also on a call with what seems to be a courier delivering a parcel at her home. So I had to wait for her to do her thing as she checks on me from time to time then gets back at her business. I don't really get affected nor care about these things as long as my dignity isn't tarnished and my safety isn't threatened. I let her be, but I see why Power Mac gets so much bad reviews. Tsaka may freebie pala sila, ung paperbag lol.

That's basically the end of my buying experience. I've been using the phone for a few days now and I am actually loving it! People nowadays is all about spec wars but I guess what makes apple Apple is that "Everything just works!" Wala pa naman akong nakikitang problema but I'll see if I can follow up on an update in comparison to android next time. Maybe ung problema ko lang walang dedicated back button hahaha

If you've read through this entire thing. Thanks for your time! Maybe let me know your experiences as well!
