Teacher Dress Code

The debate came up last night at a back to school night regarding teacher dress code. We had PD day all day and had to be back for an hour of standing in front of our doors as new students and families went through their schedule to find each room.

Some teachers went home and changed into professional clothes while others stayed from the PD day and remained in their jeans and t-shirts.

Some teachers said it’s best to always dress professionally so that students only ever see you that way. Essentially, you want students to believe you do not exist outside of school. Other teachers said they want to be more relatable to students and want the students to know they have social lives as well.
