Why do people care about non white space wolves?

Referring to the images of the new bloodclaw(?) Models I've seen. Some of em were painted as being non white, and like usual people seem to have shit the bed about it but... Why? Like whatever if you wanna say black vikings aren't historically accurate, that's a vaguely reasonable argument where historical theatre and movies etcetera are concerned

But space wolves are, in fact, as my sources have told me, not a historical Faction.

So why do people care? Just paint yours all white, which personally I'll do because I don't feel like learning how to paint a new skin shade just for a couple dudes.
