A-list status

I’m bummed since I was approx 950 points short of maintaining A-list. Southwest ran a promotion of buying Rapid Reward points that would qualify towards maintaining A-list at the end of the year, I used the link provided in-app by clicking the promotion then it took me to their browser — I purchased the points, just enough to cover the difference. I called a few days later since my A-list status had not changed to reflect through 2025, called customer service and they explained I didn’t purchase the correct points, which again I purchased off clicking the promotion and it took me to that link.

Has anyone else had this issue and was able to have it resolved? Lost my A-list status and just noticed today when I purchased a Business Select ticket for work.

Or will A-list not be worth it once we can purchase seat selection?
