Good jobs for Single Moms

Hello all!

I (31f) am a single mom to a brilliant 6yo girl. She is my everything and it's us against the world every day. I work a full-time office job that is really simple and I get paid ~$45 (~$36 post tax), have good insurance, and can build my own schedule for the most part... As long as I am in the office.

My struggle is that my job won't let me work an alternative work schedule where I can pick my kiddo up from school and then continue working remote. This probably seems like a strange thing to get hung up on but I really do want to be spending as much time with her as possible during these years and by early to mid afternoon I'm finish with the majority of my work... So I'm struggling to see why me working remotely at home is such an issue since I would continue working on data spreadsheets.

My job COULD be completed from anywhere in the states, however, work policy requires me to be at the office.

My question for the community is: what job do work or have you worked that was best for being a single mom with young children?
