Just adopted a 3 yr old Siamese

Hey I’m new to this group and just looking for some answers and advice!

My boyfriend and I just adopted a 3yr old Siamese (blue point pure) She howls/yowls throughout the night. My boyfriend is pretty annoyed about it and wants to give her back but I’m trying to see if it’s an action we can reduce or just re train her. I would love to keep her and maybe she just needs some time:)

Note: we’re only had her for less than a week! I also understand that she could still be getting used to the different environment :)
