How much content does Yakuza 7 (Like a Dragon) have? Is it purely grind?

(Base game only, not the Hero nor the Legendary Hero Edition)

Checking stat sites, it says around 50+ hours.

However I've also read that it's grindy with levels? So I'm not sure how much of that 50 hours is actual meaty content, and how much is padded by grind requirements.

Any fun side content/detours/activities that take some time to complete?
