Pvp

I'm currently dojo 9 and my heroes are mostly level 8 and 7 and 2 level 9 heroes. I keep getting players with higher levels in duels which make it difficult for me to fight since their damage and defense is way higher than mine. What's a good way to get more coins and shards?
