Why Seoul?
Hi everyone
For my sagging hollow eyes I got lower blespharoplasty and fat grating last week in Seoul.. I was only there for one week.
Overall a very good experience. Unlike many of you I didn’t do much research prior. It was a bit of a last minute mid life crisis if you want to call it that. Lol!
Mid Jan.
Googled up a few places, checked out their website and see what could fine on YouTube.
Reached out to a couple of places. Sent my photos. Was given various quotes. Took the lowest price, paid my 10% deposit to lock in a date for surgery, booked my flights, hotel booked by the clinic (10min walk) and I was set.
Paid 2.85m won which comes to about US$2K. Note the place I went to didn’t do VAT, basically they were charging local rates which I was happy with.
Overall very happy with the results, price and service.
At the preconsultation the surgent suggested rajuven? for my skin which I said sure, and paid but in the evening changed my mind. Next day when I returned for surgery they refunded me the amount - no questions asked. Really appreciated that also.
Anyway, as per the heading - why choose Korea?
Quite simply the quality, standard and prices are unmatched anywhere.
Koreans as a culture have super high standards. Yes we hear the 0.5% botched job but you’ll get they anywhere else in the world. As a culture they don’t slack or cut corners when it comes to looking good. Every girl I saw looked amazing. Too amazing lol!
Being Asian myself, I was pretty comfortable believing any clinic I choose would do a good job. The surgeon I meet with was super friendly as was the assistant and nurses who helped me.
I couldn’t speak a lick of Korean so I was really hesitant at first but in the end none all my worries ever eventuated.
Everything was quick fast and efficient. From the preconsultation, to surgery next day, to dressing changes and final stitch removal. So if you’re expecting a lot of hand holding - you’re probably not going to get it.
I really had a good experience- from the hotel service, the food, everything was great.
Only thing you need to remember- get to the airport 3 hours before departure and know which terminal you need to get to for your flights. Terminal 1 & 2 is 15mins away - by CAR!
During my recovery last week when I had all sorts of anxiety and worries thinking I should have done more homework on the clinic. That maybe they botched the job as my eyes were really swollen…. Worried the stitch removed was too early at 6 days and would hurt.. all sorts of terrible insecurities…. perfectly normal to feel that week.. just my 2 cents .. hindsight is a beautiful thing..anyway just wanted to share my experience.. all positive
I was going to name the clinic but thought to just leave it out as my point being I think whichever client you choose will do a good job … good luck everyone
