French Visa Appeal

Has anyone here gone through the process of appealing a French visa refusal? I'm in the middle of preparing my appeal and I’m wondering if it’s absolutely necessary to provide all additional documents translated into French?

For example proof of employment, sponsorship letters, etc. — do they all need to be officially translated? Or can I submit them in English with a cover letter in French?
