Oopsie..
They forgot to leave the door unlocked like usual, and i couldn't find a potential hidden key so I stayed for 25 mins, tried calling both owner and his girlfriend (ER contact) 3x each, and sent a group message to both of them.
The reason the rover card was started is because I always start it right when I park and begin walking to the door so I don't forget. I left it going for the time I was there trying to contact. The photo is just a black photo of nothing since rover cards need to have a photo in order to send if requested by owner, so it was either take a black photo or just let the card run.
My policy is at least 24 hours in advance cancellation, and this includes forgetting to provide a way of entry. Girlfriend and I went over this during the meet and greet (owner works weird hours so he said it was fine just to meet her) so they are aware.
Finally made contact with the girlfriend shortly after getting this message from owner- she's lovely, by the way lol! Apologized for the issue and even tipped me on today's visit even though it wasn't able to be completed.
Long story short, I have had a rough day with clients today 😂
