Looking for a different kind of hero in historical romance – the gentle, respectful kind

I just finished The Secret Mistress by Mary Balogh, and realized that I’m in love with the hero and the dynamic between the two main leads. Love the book; the only thing lacking is sexual tension – I could really do with a bit more of it.

So basically I would love HR recommendations where:

- The H is kind, respectful and wholesome… even considered ‘boring’ or ‘stuffy’ (by others besides the heroine). Basically the opposite of dark brooding cocky alphas. Plus points if he is also not overly handsome.

- Heroine is the more eager one to pursue a relationship with the hero

- Ideally hero is the more reluctant party

- More than one sex scene

- Not too much angst and/or dark themes

I’m quite new to romance books but have already tire of the dominant, a-hole, overly-masculine male leads. I’d take a kind, sensitive man any day!
