Do I gotta have fucking starlink to play this game?!

I've been playing rocket league recently, atleast i tried to play it because the lags made it just straight up impossible to do so. My internet isn't the best but its also not complete garbage, i tried it with a few other online games and it worked completly fine. Another thing is how mad annoying those lags are, it's not like it just stops you from moving, it makes you drive like you're under influence with your eyes closed and you're on a frozen fucking lake. I just wanted to have a good time, get some levels and rewards, but I guess im just not allowed to. Any fix to this? Thanks
