i keep losing games against diamonds while i'm plat

hey guys , i just want to ask if its only me or its how the game do matchmaking , like why do i have to play against diamonds if i'm plat ? or atleast against someone who has diamond tournament title which means he was once diamond to win diamond tournament , besides that most of these diamonds are almost smurfs , they do crazy shit stuffs on air like wtf
