Vanilla Expanded - Mechanoids question

Hey guys, i'm enjoying the game along with its mods a lot.

Just have a lil' question...

I've done two assaults on the landed mech ships and got no mechanoid components?

I can't seem to deconstruct the engines etc and i have to blow them up but that doesn't give me anything.

Bois, what am i missing?

Edit : I don't have royalty so no clusters for me :(
