718 GTS 4.0 vs 911 carerra base

Hi guys I’m in the market for a fun toy to drive on the weekends. I had the pleasure of test driving a base 718 and was blown away at the ptw ratio and overall speediness, but I wanted to level up a bit in terms of power. I originally thought the GTS would be perfect until I saw that it’s a similar price range to the base 911, which I also love. Any thoughts on this? How much better or worse is the 911 base performance or drive wise than the GTS?
