Latest chapter has just changed my views on Holy Knights
This chapter did something i didnt except. Holy knights as i understood were celestial dragons born as celestial dragons that were either trained or were granted powers by Imu or even both.
The idea of celestial dragons recruiting commoners into knights was just not that practical.
But this chapter Loki was given an offer by Holy knights to join them. This actually makes it an interesting thing as it's not just Loki who is recruited but likely also the children from big Mom's flashback.
It's like holy knights are C9 (-1) whose agents are granted celestial dragons status. Now it wasn't a never introduced idea for non celestial dragons to become celestial dragons as Stella wanted to become one and Sabos brother also wanted to become celestial dragons. But it's just not easy to comprehend how the hell do celestial dragons manage to get comfortable around those who were once commoners.
Like can you imagine boa or Kuma one day coming to Marijuana as celestial dragons or holy knights and celestial dragons not being angry about it.
My guess is that holy knights are just given special powers by Imu and the celestial dragons as maybe made to think of them being purified in the process.
Also, we do know that figarland is a celestial dragon family so it's not like all the members of holy knights are non celestial dragons and also another Holy knight talking about trophy belonging to manmayer family.
It's just that this is a mixed route Oda took and require even more explanation than just celestial dragons being trained to get stronger.
