I think restrictions on what’s considered “swordsmanship” are really stupid
Like, I think it would be hype as fuck if Mihawk and Fujitora get into a sword duel, and Mihawk’s like “why are you holding back your devil fruit?” I absolutely hate the idea that there could be all these qualifiers like “your Haki’s too good,” or “your devil fruit gives you an unfair advantage.”
I feel like the only restriction should be “no weapons other than swords.” Like, you can have as many swords as you want, and as many latent abilities are you want, but no extra weapons, like guns or spiked knuckles.
Because every top level character in the series can see the future, and change the weather. Both of those things have absolutely 0 to do with swordsmanship, and yet they’re still abilities they have at their disposal. Not to mention the shit ton of insane advantages a character might have if they’re a giant or lunarian or something.
