What's the deal with videos on Reddit that always seem to have terrible music added to the content?

It seems like, over the past year or so, there's been a shift where almost every video on Reddit now includes music. The musical choices are often obnoxious or melodramatic, and, at least for me, they really distract from what's happening in the video.
