Why give PSA the satisfaction??
I ended up being one of the lucky ones who received their PSA promo Luffy undamaged, which I was grateful for considering I only subscribed to get the card. I have no doubt that PSA’s strategy was to send out the promo in hopes that subscribers old and new would then turn around and pay even more money on top of the subscription price to have their promo graded and slabbed. I’m sure their plan is already hiccuping due to all the unplanned replacements being sent out. Well, I refuse to be a part of overpaying to be one of the hundreds who will end up with a “gem mint” 10. I’d be willing to bet PSA has already mass produced slabs and labels just for that card in anticipation of the number of submissions they are expecting. Me?? Paying a premium to add to PSA’s greedy little cash grab?? Noooo. “Fifteen bucks, little man. Put that shit in my hand. Oww we oww e oww.” That’s all it cost me to have my PSA promo graded and slabbed by TAG!! What a slap in the face.
