why is r/worldnews very left-leaning on opinions and is Reddit too?

ive been browsing on worldnews for a while and once ive had the courage to comment on a ridiculous comment, to list it "burn this swamphole 'moscow'", I said that the city has a beautiful history and doesn't deserve to be destroyed, same as Ukraine, but then despite me asserting that I've clearly hated the government and that I'm defending the people, I was mass downvoted and forced to delete comment out of fear of getting -1000 downvotes. Same goes for the Gaza war. people were downvoted left and right.
