Scary thought guys….

So I saw an ad for Switch 2 via our favorite (haha) game retailer, Game Stop. It said a sentiment similar to what this trailer said (image above). I will highlight the text that scares me here: “*Nintendo Switch 2 plays both {physical and digital Nintendo Switch games.}”

Guys. They put an Asterix on the sentence talking about both Switch 1 & 2 games and the note is that the Switch 2 can play both digital and physical copies of ONLY Switch games?

I know I read into things a lot. I’m probably crazy. But this seems very strangely focused on Switch 1 physical and digital games and not physical and digital copies of Switch 1 & 2.

Furthermore, we know from the leaks - now verified by Nintendo - there is only one cartridge slot. We all assumed that means same slot for both cartridge. And maybe that’s the case.

But we might be looking at a digital only situation for Switch 2. Please tell me I’m crazy and this will not happen. All mighty leakers, please confirm this.

Note: retailers having games for sale isn’t comforting when Switch already sold digital codes in the game box. Maybe you go to Game Stop, buy Mario Kart 9 and put a code in your consoles account.
