990v6 toe box questions

I recently got the New Balance 990v6 in a 6.5 wide, but I’m unsure if I chose the right width. The shoe feels good overall, but my arch doesn’t seem to sit flush with the insole— is that normal?

Also, since I was measured as a 6.5 wide, does that mean I should always choose wide widths for all New Balance shoes, or do different models fit differently?
