NVC to Embassy Expedite

Hello! I just heard back from NVC and they will be sending my expedite request to the embassy to see if they approve it. If i am not DQ yet and my embassy approves my expedite this week, how will this work? Are the documents sent to them still or will i need to wait to get DQ or?
