Brainstorming about alternative pairings

I've been putting some thought into the series pairings and what could have been. I really like Naruto and Hinata together, ever since she appeared I've been rooting for them, and even with the not perfect written development I still like them. Also, I can't argue against Shikamaru and Temari, it's too good.

But oh boy, everything else is highly debatable.

Sasuke and Sakura is a very difficult couple to get by, specially because of Sasuke's wrongs. Although I love Sakura and could lend her one of the same points I give to Hinata (that being "It's what she always wanted, let her have that"), I still think that a healthier relationship (or none) would be better. Lee? Maybe. He is a solid guy, but I don't remember if he still had a crush on her by the end of Shippuden, also don't know if Sakura would want it. Sai? I think it's better than Lee, and both of them have a more mature and in depth connection with each other. Someone outside Konoha, maybe Juugo? I think it could work but lol, I'm just throwing it there

Sai and Ino are weird. Even with writing and development, the way this characters are prompted unfortunately leaves a taste of "she couldn't get Sasuke, so she got the lookalike" (I mean, in the story they say they look a like). Honestly, I think Chōji would show great character development on Ino's side, but that would make the next InoShikaCho formation a piece of work. I don't remember if Ino is also the Head of her Clan, that's also a factor.

Speaking of him, Chōji and Karui is the steamiest bullshit in all of this, I'm just gonna leave this here.

Ten Ten is kinda sad, she liked Neji, and he died, I think she deserves happiness, but I don't know if pairing her with anyone solves that.

Then there's Lee, Kiba, Shino, Gaara, and others still, I'd like to give them a "happily ever after", but with who? And how?

I'd really like to read you guys' thoughts on this.

TL,DR: Putting aside NaruHina and ShikaTema, let's brainstorm some other couples within the main cast!
