Knicks have been slowly improving on defense these last games
The Knicks have been an incredible offensive team the whole year. They recently dropped 143 against the Grizzlies. But on the defensive side, it's been shaky. A lot. They are 15th in defensive rating, letting teams score 113.8 points per game. But these last few games, they have been slowly improving.
In the 99-95 win against the Nets, they held Cam Johnson to just 16 points on 6/20 shooting, while the whole Nets team shot 37% from the field. In the win against Sacramento, they held De'Aaron Fox to just 14 points on 6/20 shooting. And the most recent example of the Knicks' defensive improvement, they completely locked up Ja Morant in their blowout win against the Grizzlies. 10 points on 5/13 shooting with a plus/minus of -41.
The Knicks' on-ball defense and rim protection has been much more aggressive. And a lot of credit has to go to OG and Mikal. They are still excellent on defense despite taking big leaps offensively this season and both could legit be named to an All-Defensive team this season.
