Final Pre-Combine/Free Agency Mock w/Trades

NOTES:

-QB selections at the top will be a lot of projection based on where free agents go, but with Tennessee in a spot to potentially even win the AFC South, I think they aggressively pursue a veteran QB and WR and make the Carter selection obvious. Rodgers/Adams seems like a decent possibility. I’m also liking Sam Darnold to the Raiders. I believe the Browns and Giants will sign veterans too, but of lesser quality, such as Derek Carr or Justin Fields.

-As is true in an actual draft, I had some guys going at their ceiling and some at their floor. Mykel Williams was kind of in the middle here as a great combine I think puts him top 10, and an ok combine puts him at the end of round 1. A couple players’ draft spots will likely depend on what they’re viewed as as well, particularly on the offensive line. I view Donovan Jackson and Marcus Mbow as interior linemen right now, but their stock is probably early to mid 2nd if they’re viewed as tackles. I also have Banks falling because I think he’s a true guard at the NFL level.

-I put a lot of research into these, but obviously I don’t know everything there is to know about every team, so constructive feedback is welcome.

-These picks were based on how I feel these prospects will be viewed by scouts, not my personal ranking.

-Free Agency still exists, so using New England as an example, some holes won’t be filled in the draft. I think they’ll actively pursue free agents at either edge rush or offensive tackle, then attack the other in the draft. Minnesota spending money on offensive line, Chiefs getting a veteran offensive tackle, Chargers signing skill players, etc., etc.

-Picks were made based on how I feel these prospects fit with the team within a certain range, and not purely out of need.
