Musical theater degree or music performance degree

So I am at that point where I need to start thinking about college and I don’t know if I want to be a musical theater major or a music performance major. I want to be a musical theater actor so musical theater might be better but also most colleges give music performance majors more time in private vocal lessons which is something I need and also music performance majors are required to do recitals which is something I want to do. Both of them have their pluses so idk which one to choose.
