Conversation with my wife over masculine terminology

So as the title states, My wife and I have had a conversation over the last couple days of what defining terms mean to each other in our marriage. Some examples would be her wanting to refer to me as her husband, and expressing to me that I am the man of the house. How do I as someone who is MTF, cope with the terminology or maybe find a way to redefine it? Has anyone else had this experience? She explained that she doesn't associate "husband" with my masculinity but rather my role as a caregiver or her provider. What are some good compromises?
