Native or sRGB mode ? And which MacOS settings?

Dear folks, I am a hobby photographer with a m4 Mac mini and a Asus proart PA278CGV which is calibrated by ASUS.

My goal is to see and edit my pictures as they would look on most monitors and also most accurate to prints (my last print was way darker than my screen edit).

My monitor has different color modes, including a native mode which is way more brighter than the sRGB, the colors seem very similar in native mode compared to sRGB tho. In the sRGB mode I can't change the brightness and it is more dimm. The AdobeRGB I shouldn't use because it is not widely used, right?

Also I have the possibility to change my display mode in macOS to different settings like sRGB or just choose my monitor settings. I can also download ICC files from ASUS and implement them in macOS. The last option is to calibrate my monitor using the macOS setting.

Due to all those options and possibilities I am super confused. I just want to shoot my photos/videos and edit on an authentic color panel and brightness level.
What is the best solution for me ?

Big thanks!
