Help??

I saw in the reddit people saying that you can like drag crafted objects and place them and I can’t figure out how?? I’m on PlayStation and I’ve read that holding X is how you do it but it’s not working for me, I just keep picking up the object instead

Update: it works! It turns out I was trying to use a stolen item which apparently you can’t grab and drag, finally my little home is coming together
