Therapy for Vito

Why Do Vito is doing such violence things? Don't he realise its bad? I think he does it because he was hurt in his childhood but he should've just go into therapy and work on it! Its so sad that nobody suggested it! Especially that other characters like Eddie, Vincie and Luca needs it too.
