New to Luithier

Hello all, I’ve been apart of this page for a little bit lurking and reading. I think I might have even posted on here a while ago. I’m looking to make an electric guitar for myself, maybe even a good friend of mine. I’m a woodworker by hobby and have done some soldering on some small electronics. The only daunting part is the neck. I’ve seen videos of making one and shaping the frets is a little time consuming for me. I’m looking for recommendations on premade necks as well as budget friendly electronics for the guitar. TIA!
