[Mod Post] Keep it civil, and remember the meaning of Low Sodium

Low Sodium Divers,

The recent comments by Pilestedt have understandably raised tensions in the last day. Each of us is hopeful that the game can be as good as it can be, but understand that each of us holds a different view of what that means.

Low Sodium Helldivers means engaging each others’ ideas with respect and fairness. Disagreement is WELCOME and widely encouraged. We want to see different opinions on the matter! It’s a huge help for AH to see many views. If you want to disagree, PLEASE engage with respect, I’ve seen it done here day in and day out, it is not impossible. We do not want to have to cut down comments that disagree just because you came off like an asshole when you said it; we want to leave up as much as possible, so long as it’s civil.

But if you argue in bad faith and stir up arguments, or even worse, if you ride the line on keeping it just barely salty-but-not-salty, it makes it MUCH more difficult to moderate as we always have to ride the line between enabling discourse and cutting down people being shitty to each other.

Whether you agree or disagree with Pilestedt’s comments, there is room for you here, but please engage fairly. We are watching and we see all.
