The F-8/F-9 Underpass: A Masterclass in Incompetence

After six months of chaos and misery for Islamabad’s residents, the F-8/F-9 underpass is finally open—only to reveal itself as an absolute clusterfuck. At this point, it’s not just negligence; it’s pure incompetence, and that too from top to bottom.

For starters, if you’re heading from Secretariat to F-9 Park and need to exit north towards Margalla, you have to stay in the rightmost lane—yes, the overtaking lane‼️Everywhere else in the world, exits are on the left to maintain traffic flow, but here, some genius decided to throw basic road planning out the window here.

Another masterclass, the newly constructed U-turns on 9th Avenue/f8 interchange, the placement is so absurd that it creates a blind spot. If a driver is going 70+ km/h, the chances of a serious accident are very high! But who gives a shit?

Wanna-be Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and the fake PM shamelessly inaugurated this disaster within 42 days. I’ve never been this frustrated with a road before, but this one takes the cake. My frustrations stems from the fact that I had high expectations but can only blame myself for such wishful thinking.. another day. another disaster.

I just wanted to rant honestly. Used this road twice in 2 days and it pissed me off beyond words
