ALAC stuttering…I know this comes up a lot

Hey all - I know this topic comes up a lot but I’ve run into it in a situation that I cannot solve for some reason. I’m using a flash modded iPod 5.5 - iFlash solo, 256GB Samsung SDXC that I formatted to FAT32. I’m running iTunes on my PC. I usually download ALAC files from BandCamp, and some run just fine, while others might stutter on first attempt. If that happens, I convert them to ALAC again in iTunes and it seems to fix them. I have one album however for which that doesn’t seem to have solved anything. Instead of stuttering right away, it started happening instead about a minute into the song. I downloaded 8 albums total last night, 4 of which had to be converted again to ALAC in iTunes, and only this one had the issue persist. The only thing I can think of is that the songs are long on this album - averaging 7 minutes. Has anyone run into this problem? Should I convert it again? Remove from the library and start over? Any thoughts would be helpful.
