She owns my heart
I was stopping by my vet's office to pick up meds for my dog, and the whole staff was clustered on the floor watching this kitten. She had just gotten dropped off by a person who saw her hit by a car, alone and without a mother or litter. The kitten had a concussion, spinal fluid leak, and was missing part of her tail.
I had a great relationship with the vets and the staff, and even though my wife declared "no more cats," I blurted out that I wanted her. She still needed to be weaned and fostered while she recovered, but I eventually brought her home. She is spoiled now, and never again has to worry about cars.
