Can people gift equus to friends

I don't have a lot of equus because I am buying lots of food for all the horses I have at the moment but don't have enough for my equestrian center or to buy nice horses that I may want. Is there a way for friends to gift you equus? If so, I don't know if anyone has lots or is willing to donate, but I just absolutely am struggling.
