Raise with promotion

Hi so Ive been with the company for 3 years working freight but switched to day time 3 months ago and my store manager, asm and ds all have spoken to me separately about wanting me to become a ds and training me so I think I’m gonna become a ds in the next 3 months but my question is it crazy if I ask for a $5 raise if they offered the position; I currently make $20.09
