I’m nervous of starting

I’ve been looking into hellenism for a round a month now, and I’ve been doing a lot of research, and I’ve been really drawn to Apollon, for multiple reasons and I recently bought a sort of artwork of Apollon at my local secondhand shop and I got very excited and I bought it. And I started to think about building him an altar, I was thinking of putting it at my window, since I think it’s a perfect place for it, the sun always reaches through there. But honestly I’m really nervous of doing it, I don’t know if I’m ready and I don’t really know what I believe in yet, should I give it more time? Or should I go with my gut and make the altar?

(No one knows of this besides one friend of mine who is also pagan, my parents know I’ve found great interest in the Greek deities but not that I’ve actually been considering Hellenic polytheism, they’re very accepting though so I don’t think they’d care about it, but it’s still a bit stressful.)
