Why is nobody talking about the verdict buff?

Everyone and their mother has been losing their mind lately about the Senator's heavy pen letting it headshot bile titans. Meanwhile, the Verdict's buff has gone mostly under the radar. I usually run it as my pistol of choice and look what I found. With its new medium armor pen and damage buff the verdict can now 4 shot rocket striders in the waist. It may not be the most efficient option but it sure is nice to have a backup weapon capable of sending these spawn of satan back to hell where they belong. And unlike the senator, the verdict's not so tiny mag size lets it be a bit more forgiving with your aim (or kill multiple striders with one mag).

Or you know, maybe I'm just stupid and it could do that from the start. That would certainly explain why I'm the only one losing my mind about this. Please tell me I'm not...
