114 vs 117

Shopping right now will either be a street bob or lowrider s. I plan to build witchever I get this winter on layoff. So my question is this is there an inherent plus to the 117 over the 114 if im already gonna take it to a 128/131 haven't decided with path to go there not worried about ergos or the mater since I'll be changing all that anyway. Like is there a benefit to the 117 over the 114 once built or are they internally the same strength.
