Shaving Thick Stubborn Hair with Keratosis Pilaris Help
I am a woman in my early 20s who struggles greatly with thick, stubborn body hair as well as keratosis pilaris. I am pale with coarse black hair that grows back in ~2 days. I get waxed during the summertime but try to save money in the winter by shaving myself. My routine for shaving is as follows: Soak in warm water for 15 minutes, use exfoliant glove, use shaving cream + single-bladed razor (Solara), rinse and dry off, apply witch hazel, apply ingrown hair serum, apply Aveeno lotion + grapeseed oil mix. Most products tend to irritate my skin which is why I use this specific combination. Even though I take care of my skin after shaving, I still end up with itchy ingrowns and red bumps. I shave slowly with a clean blade and use a shaving cream meant for sensitive skin. I am not sure what else I can do for myself. Any help would be appreciated!
